Edo Gov Election: Collation of Results Begins This Morning

The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Edo, Mr Sam Olumekun, on Wednesday night, said the collation of results for the governorship election in the state would start Thursday (this morning),

Olumekun, who stated this after a closed-door meeting with a National Commissioner and two Resident Electoral Commissioners at 11.20 p.m, however, did not give reasons for the shift in date for the exercise.

Informed sources at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) however disclosed that decision to begin the collation this morning was predicated on the late arrival of results from the 18 local government areas of the state.
