Wike Suspends Four Commissioners, Head of Service, Special Adviser

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, suspended three Commissioners; the Head of Service, Rufus Godwin; and the Special Adviser on Lands; Anugbum Onuoha, for three months.

Special Assistant on Electronic Media to the Governor, Simeon Nwakaudu, listed the affected commissioners as Chieftaincy Affairs, John Bazia; Culture and Tourism, Mrs Tonye Briggs -Oniyide; Finance, Fred Kpakol; and  Sports, Boma Iyaye.

The statement was silent on the reasons for the suspension of the state cabinet members. This latest suspension has brought Kpakol to a two-timed suspended commissioner in this administration.
