Kidero rejects Sonko lead in election, wants fresh count

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has rejected election results saying they are a fraud.

At about 12.50 pm on Wednesday, Jubilee candidate Mike Sonko was leading with 811,995 (53.4 per cent) votes against his 653,185 (42.95 per cent).

"We urge Nairobians to remain calm and await the final decision. What has happened is so glaring," he told a media briefing on Wednesday.

He said he wants a fresh tally.
