Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto Apologised To Nakuru Residents

June 17, 2017, 4:00 am

Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has apologised to Nakuru residents for the economic oppression and neglect they have been subjected to by Jubilee.

The governor said he supported President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto during the March 4, 2013, general election for them to be freed from the ICC yoke.

During campaigns for the National Super Alliance in Nakuru on Friday, Rutto said he saw nothing good in the two but had a desire to have them released from The Hague cases.

Uhuru and Ruto's collapsed for lack of evidence. However, there are claims that the International Criminal Court intends to revive the matter.

"I apologise for the problems you have faced for the past four years under Jubilee. I am sorry that I am the one who asked you to vote them."

The Chama cha Mashinani party leader asked Nakuru residents to confidently vote NASA if they want to be freed from economic bondage.

"After we saw that Kenyans are suffering due to poverty subjected to them by Uhuru and Ruto, five of us talked and agreed on the way forward," he said.

The governor is working with Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) ahead of the August 8 poll.

NASA has fronted Raila as its flag bearer. Kalonzo is his running mate in the election contested by Uhuru and 6 other candidates.

"I assure you that you are safe in my hands unlike DP Ruto who is doing business," Rutto said, "When you vote NASA, you have voted me as Deputy Prime Minister."

He took a swipe at Jubilee saying they have lied to Kenyans that maize flour is available in retail stores.

"They are just using unga to play politics. The said maize flour is non-existent anywhere. It is only found in televisions," he said.

Rutto added that NASA has a face of Kenya, unlike Jubilee that is being led by two fellows.

"The leadership of retired President Daniel Moi was much better than Jubilee."
