NCC Makes Helen Paul, Nuhu Faces of Telecomm Consumers
Nigerian Communications Commission ( NCC) yesterday unveiled Helen Paul Bamisile popularly known as Tatafo and Ali Nuhu popularly refers to as Emir of Kannywood as the new Face of Telecomm Consumer in the country.
Speaking at the Launching of the 2017 Year of the Nigerian Telecomm Consumer campaign at De Blue Roof of LTV8 Agidingbi Ikeja Lagos, the Vice Chairman and Executive Officer of NCC, Professor Umar Dambatta said the reason why Tatafo and Nuhu were picked as the face of Nigerian Telecomm Consumer was not just for their popularity but what they represent.
He added that the need to cut across the geo political zones and ethnic groups also influence the commission decision in choosing the face.
Speaking at the event, Helen Paul urged Nigerians to help make their work as the face of Nigerian Telecomm Consumer successful by using the Do Not Disturb (DND) code of 2442.
Helen Paul, who has three Masters Degrees and undergoing her PhD programme, added that if the network do not stop such unsolicited messages, the consumer should call NCC on 622 to report such a network.
In the same vein, Ali Nuhu pleaded with service providers to keep cooperating with NCC to take the Nigeria Telecommunication Industry to a greater place.
Ali, a graduate of University of Jos, also asked for full support from consumers, consumer groups and other consumer regulatory bodies to make this campaign successful.
