Re-run Election to Hold in Rivers, Kogi, Others Before August 1

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday assured of his readiness to conduct re-run elections in Rivers, Kano, Kogi and Imo states not later than July 31.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this during his second quarterly meeting with states Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs, in Abuja.

In his remarks shortly before the meeting went into a closed session, Yakubu restated the readiness of the commission for the forthcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states.
