Too's Funeral: Moi Stood Up To Ruto And Threw Veiled Jabs At Him

January 9, 2017, 10:02 pm

- When he took to the podium to address the multitude that had congregated for Mark Too's funeral, Gideon Moi took the chance to throw shade at his nemesis, DP Ruto

- Apart from impressing the locals with his newly acquired grasp of the Kalenjin dialect, Moi stood up to Ruto and threw veiled jabs at him

DP Ruto at a recent meeting in his up country home sought to stem the influence of KANU in the region ahead of his presidential bid in 2022.

One of his major projects have been to make sure that the Baringo Senator, Gideon is replaced in 2017.

Ruto reportedly asked the Betting Control and Licensing Chairperson, Simon Chelugui to vie for the senatorial seat instead of the gubernatorial one.

Moi who was probably irked by this told off the deputy president and asked Kenyans to vote for leaders who were bringing to the region.

"Vote for leaders who work to help you, not those who work to enrich themselves," Moi told the attendees.

DP Ruto has been accused of imposing hand-picked candidates to unseat the incumbent for his own political gain as he looks to replace Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Sunday, January 8, an ODM party council member asked Moi to join the NASA coalition to help unseat Uhuru and the Jubilee government.
