Bomb Scare Near 'Jabi Lake' Shopping Mall

There was papable tension Thursday morning around the new Jabi Lake Mall after a  parcel, suspected to be Improvised Explosives Device, was found under the Jabi flover, in Abuja.

Policemen, including operatives of the Anti-bomb squad, blocked the access road to the bridge, and directed motorists to alternative routes.

The alarm, however turned out to be false as the bomb disposal unit discovered the parcel to be a container said to have been left under the bridge by officials of the  Federal Capital Territory Water Board The area around the mall was immediately cordoned off  following futher scanning of the area by security operatives.

However the roads and blocake were lifted after the security team had finished thier Jobs.

When contacted, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, promised to obtain the status update from his superiors.
